Sadly the officially available version of Soundflower isn’t signed because it’s an open source project and - as far as we know - no one has volunteered to do the work and pay the $99 fee to obtain a signing certificate. Go to system preferences -> Privacy & Security -> Privacy -> Microphone -> īecause we’re getting this asked a lot: Here’s how you get Soundflower to work with macOS 10.12 Sierra and OS X 10.10 and 10.11…Īs you know, since 10.10, OS X requires kernel extensions to be signed. IMPORTANT: If you can’t record from Soundflower under Mojave (the device is there but only silence is being recorded) make sure that you have given microphone access permissions to your recording app! macOS treats Soundflower like a microphone in this regard. I hit: GarageBand -> Sound Libraru -> Reinstall Sound Library (another 7 hours but at least the installer waited for me in this case). I confirmed in MainStage that the instruments were downloaded and available but can't see them in GarageBand. (Version 10.4.3 running on Big Sur - 11.3.1) I downloaded the MainStage sound library when prompted (9 hours, and after 3 failures I realized I had to be available when the download finished to provide the admin password for installation or the installer would timeout quickly and I had start all over again !). I recently purchased MainStage (Version 3.5.2) primarily so I would have the MainStage/Logic instruments available in GarageBand. Can't see MainStage/Logic instruments in GarageBand ![]()
